Orange County CTA & OESPA Retired

Orange County CTA & OESPA Retired is the organization that represents retired employees from Orange County Public Schools. We are affiliated with Orange County Classroom Teachers Association, Orange County Educational Support Professionals Association, Florida Education Association-Retired, Florida Alliance for Retired Americans, Florida AFL/CIO-Retired, National Education Association-Retired, American Federation of Teachers-Retired and The National AFL/CIO-Retired. You do not have to have been a member of CTA or OESPA to join us. If you were a member, however, we are sure you are aware of all the benefits and services available to you and all those services continue to be available to you if you do join us. The Access card with connections to over 20,000 merchants, the insurance and money management plans and the Lobbying, legal services and liability insurance all continue or begin when you join CTA & OESPA Retired.

CTA & OESPA Retired meets the third Wednesday of each month from September thru May at the CTA Office 1020 Webster Ave Orlando 32804. Usually the meetings begin at 1 o’clock with fellowship and then a program of interest to the members and a business meeting. We communicate by email or if the member does not have an email using the postal service. We have many committees such as field trips, legislative, insurance and benefits, social and hospitality and elder affairs. We are engaged in a program of Intergenerational Mentoring with students from UCF and we have been helping CTA and OESPA recruit members with grants from NEA to fund these activities. We have requested a grant from AFT to build our membership. Members elected from our group attend the FEA Convention and the NEA and AFT Conventions. We take field trips to fun places like the Seminole Casino in Tampa and educational places like the Hurston Museum in Eatonville. Our minutes are posted to this website.

Our dues are structured in 2 ways. If you wish to join as a lifetime member, it is $400.00 ($200.00 to NEA, $100.00 each to FEA and CTA/OESPA Retired). If you wish to join on a yearly basis, it is $ 41.00 with $36.00 going to FEA and NEA and $5.00 going to the local CTA/OESPA Retired. There is a membership form on this website which you can print out and mail with your check to Bertha Masterson 1020 Webster Ave Orlando Florida 32804.
